現在もTwitterなどではジッペイたちの死を惜しむ声や悲しむ声が止まない状況です。以前もジッペイの声帯が切除されているということが週刊文春で報じられ、視聴者たちのあいだで物議を呼びましたが、事故により亡くなってしまうとは……。

声帯を除去された理由は明らかになっていないものの、なかには「人間のエゴで声帯を切られた上暑い車内の中に放置され死ぬなんてむごたらしすぎる。動物を扱う資格は無い」という厳しい意見も見られました。
